Outlook Archiving (again!)

Hi,
I'm posting my question again. I am getting no response : (( Not sure if
that means: no one has an answer OR I haven't provided enough info (most
probably the latter!). Here goes again .... Would really, really welcome some
feedback ... : )

A relatively straightforward question ...
I am using an Outlook client in Pop3 mode. I have (so far) three PST folders
- Inbox (for inbound email), InMail (for storing email that arrives to
Inbox) and OutMail (for
storing email in Sent folder).

Is there an effective archiving process
whereby I can archive old mail in my InMail and OutMail PST files? I tried to
set-up an auto-archive capability - but got a message about my
PST folders not supporting Unicode??? My Outlook version is Outlook 2003.

Would really appreciate some feedback,

did you upgrade from an older version or reuse an older pst?

Many thnaks for the reply!
The version of outlook came bundled with a new Dell laptop. I set up Outlook
as a client for my existing Yahoo email account (POP3), and also, as I have
another AOL email account (albeit seldom used, I set up another account for
this (IMAP).
In addition to these two email accounts, I have two additional PST folders -
one entitled 'InMail-1H2005' and the other 'OutMail-1H2005'. My rationale is
(maybe dubious!) that I use these folders to store/archive old email in my
regular inbox/sent items folders .....
What I was hoping to do is set-up an automated archiving process that would
archive emails in these folders after pre-defined thresholds (say 5 days or
whatever) have expired ...

However I consistently get a message saying:
'You are attempting to archive your data to a Microsoft Outlook 97-2002
personal folder file that does not support unicode ......etc'

Create a new PST in Unicode format to replace the one for which you're
getting that message.
