If someone faxes a document to our fax machine, it will come to our Outlook
mailboxes as a .tif attachment.
When one of my users tries to open up a .tif file, he gets this error message:
Can’t create file: image.tif. Right-click the folder you want to create the
file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your
permissions for the folder.
He is using Office 2003 on WIN XP-SP2. Occasionaly, one of these files will
open correctly, but they mostly do not.
Is there a setting that needs to be changed?
He isnt trying to save the file to his HD, he just wants to open it to view
it.
Any idea what is causing the problem?
