Outlook Attachment Security

Hi All,

Does anyone know a work round for the "Insert Object"
function in Outlook 2000 SR1a >

In our organisation we attach documents from public
folders to reduce the level of traffic bouncing round the
exchange server.

Sorry about that....

The problem is... Anything that is added through "Insert
Object" or Insert Item, once the item is sent an Icon is
attached but when double-clicked does nothing.

Doesn't this work on the receiving part or on the sending part (when trying
to open from the Sent Items folder)? What message format are you using? Rich
Text, HTML or Plain Text?

Roady, sorry for the delay in replying!

When in the inbox and sent items folders, when double-
clicking the link nothing happens at all.

The only time it DOES work is BEFORE the e-mail is sent.

I do vaguely remember reading something on technet about
anything using "insert object" not working.
