A user uses Office XP Professional for his daily work. His PC went on the
fritz for a couple days. During that time he used another PC that has Office
2003 Pro installed. When he went back to using his Office XP Professional,
the automated send/receive functionality quit working. When he pressed the
Send/Recieve button, he got the Operation Failed message. He can send and
receive mail if he goes to the e-mail account. We tried recreating a new
profile, ran detect and repair, and ran scanpst.exe. Non of these fixed the
problem; however, if he uses Office 2003 Professional, the automated
Send/Receive and pressing Send/Receive works. Where is the problem and can
it be fixed without buying Office 2003?
Thanks.
