I have a VB.net Consol App that uses Outlook with Outlook Redemption that
works fine when run directly, but if from a Scheduled Task it doesn't work.
I gives an event log "Rejected Safe Mode action : Microsoft Office Outlook."
and another like "The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( .NET Runtime
) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
...." (Probably because this computer doesn't have VS installed.)
There is a System log entry "The server
{0006F03A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} did not register with DCOM within the
required timeout."
Once again, double-click the app on the desktop and it runs fine. Set it to
run as a task under the same user, it doesn't work.
Win 2K SP4
Outlook 2003 SP2
Already tried Outlook repair and starting Outlook in safe mode then closing
Thanks, Carl
