This has been happening since long before the TR (which I was hoping would
fix this, but I guess not).
After adding Slashdot's RSS feed to Outlook, it never fails that after an
Outlook restart or two, I get two error messages:
"Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0xFDD40155) : Synchronization to RSS Feed:
"http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdot" has failed. Outlook cannot
download the RSS content from http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdot
because of a problem connecting to the server."
"Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0xFDD40155) : Outlook cannot download the
RSS content from http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdot because of a
problem connecting to the server. An OLE registration error occurred. The
program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the program."
My Office 2007 install has been un/reinstalled a couple of times and
repaired at least once since long before the b2tr was released, so I'm
assuming it's not a matter of "running setup again."
Can't seem to find anything on that particular 0x.
Other RSS feeds seem to work correctly. Any ideas?
