Outlook Backup

The Personal File Backup utility is incomplete. Many users depend on Outlook
for personal productivity and take advantage of the hundreds of options for
customization. Unfortunately, many settings are not stored in the PST file!

To the unwitting user that depends on backing up their PST file, or the user
operating Outlook with Exchange, migrating to a new computer or simply to a
new profile, will result in a an Outlook configuration that is missing every
important setting and personalization.

WHY IS THIS HARD??

Shouldn't the safety of a user's Outlook settings be as important as the
e-mail itself? This is a horrible flaw in the Outlook package and should be
given immediate attention. To rely on 3rd party tools is irresponsible -
backing up Outlook should be simple, easy and complete.

Its a "Personal File Backup" not a settings backup

Your Exchange admin may be able to save some of the settings. Did you ask?

DL ... we've been having a discussing 4 messages above, titled 'Saving
messages' ... you do understand that I need/want to save 'settings' also,
right?
Is my understanding as outlined in our thread correct?
