Hi,
I have an ISA 2004 firwall. Clients in this network shall be configured to
connect to a remote Exchange server through plain RPC. I know that
publishing RPC to the internet is not ideal but this is not the issue here.
Will it suffice to use FWC on clients (while configuring the FWC from ISA to
handle Outlook connections)? Also, is there any article on the
under-the-hood process of configuring an Outlook client, even to a local
Exchange server. I mean, what are the protocols invloved and in what order
are they processed?
Please notice here that I am asking about configuring an Outlook account,
not connecting to the SMPT or POP3 server (this stage shall come next after
the account has been successfuly created).
Thanks
