Outlook breaks attachments apart

Hi
I have a annoying problem with Outlook in that it breaks apart attached files in seperate packets when sending mail. Please note i have deliberately said Outlook and not Outlook Express. I can email the same file in Outlook Express and it will not break the file. e.g. a 400kb file was seperated into 12 packets. Any ideas on how to solve this? I have changed ISPs recently and the problem still persists
