Outlook Business Card Template

I'm completely baffled. Using Vista and Office 2007. I want to apply/use a
template (i downloaded two possiblities) for my Contacts. I can't figure out
how to apply anythng other than the default card style.

I can add a photo, change the font, select and re-order the text, but can
find wher to apply/open/choose or otherwise select a template.

It must be right in front of me, but after an hour of searching help and
opening every conceivable menu I'm clueless.

Linda,

I'm not sure what you are trying to do but I am having trouble inserting a
picture--however I am using Word--rather than Outlook. I can insert the
picture and do some formatiing, but cannot move it or do text wrapping. Any
help would be appreciated.

If you tell me exactly what you are trying to do, I will see if I can
recreate the situation and help you.

Thanks

In Training I looked at the Create and Use an Electronic Business Card,
followed by Get Fancy: Add some flair to your card.

The slide that says: Start from a template says:
If you're not interested in designing your own card from scratch, you can
easily get professional looking electronic business cards for use in Outlook
2007 from the Microsoft Office Online Template Gallery. We've included a
direct link in the Quick Reference Card at the end of this course.
Once you've downloaded a template, you can use the methods discussed in this
course to change any of the elements in the template and modify it to show
your own contact information.

I followed the link to the business cards, found a templace to I wanted to
try. Supposedly downloaded it. (maybe) But can't figure out how to open it or
apply it or whatever the procedure might be.

All instructions are silent on this.

I am having the exact same problem. Whenever I download a template, it
simply opens a "dummy" contact in Outlook. I believe the use of the word
"template" is not correct.

It appears there is no template system for Electronic Business Cards (EBCs).
The dummy business card is an example. I can copy the image and the
settings (one at a time) and apply them to a card. But this is a real pain.
I see no way to actually apply the downloaded... and I believe (from what
I've read) that you can't do this. :-(

Maybe Microsoft will apply real templates in the next major release. Since
the last release was 2003, does that mean the next one is 2011. :)
