outlook calader appointment .pst has reached maximum size.

i was adding to archived appointments for roecord keeping and now reminders
will not clear can't resolve busy / free time and when i try to save
appointment i get error message that file c:\ documents and settings\local
settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst has reached its
maximum size. to reduce it shift +delete some items. i did with no results.
i rebooted . considering reinstalling outlook ? can i save my contacts +email
+appointments?

Rebooting and reinstalling won't help when the pst is too large. What
version of Outlook? If Outlook 2003, you need to make a Unicode archive. If
using older versions of Outlook you need to make a new archive and keep it
under 1.8 GB.

Reinstalling Outlook will not help with this. You'll have to troubleshoot
your pst-file.
