Outlook Calander deletes data older than 6 months

My Outlook 2002 calander has deleted all data older than
6 months. If this is a feature it is a disaster. I need
to know if there is a way to restore the lost data and if
there is a way to prevent it from deleting data in the
future. Also is there a back up feature as there is with
MS Money?

6 months sounds suspiciously like it may be archived, go to File > Open >
Outlook Data file > have you got an Archive file listed if so select and see
if the missing Calendar items are in there

In addtion to what Robert said, check to see if your PDA (if you use one)
has the calendar retention time set to 6 months prior information.
