When an employee telecommutes, they are available to be contacted about
work-related matters, but usually not at the number in their cubicle/office.
They can participate in meetings, but there should be a phone bridge set up.
And dropping by their cube/office for a quick in-person chat is not possible.
With the current Outlook appointment options (Free, Tenative, Busy, Out of
Office) it is not possible to make it clear to other schedulers that the
employee is telecommuting. (Out of Office could be away at a business
convention or vacation.)
Since one of Microsoft's goals is to enable telecommuting, I think it is a
no-brainer to add a new color (I propose green) to the "Show time as:"
drop-down to denote Telecommuting.
