Outlook Calendar Folder supposedly no longer exists

When I try to open the calendar in Outlook, I get the
following message:

"Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not
access the specified folder location. The folder no longer
exists."

What can I do to re-create the folder, so that I can have a
calendar?
