I am stumped on this MS Oultook issue and hope someone here can help...here
are the tech details:
OS: Win XP Pro SP2
App: MS Outlook 2002 SP3
Error: The Form you have selected cannot be displayed, please contact your
administrator.
Steps I have tried/details:
- Created new Outlook profile.
- Verified both the recipient and sender of the meeting request were using
the same default "appointment" form.
- User is able to accept meeting through OWA.
- Problem occurs in about 50% of the meeting requests this user receives.
- Uninstalled Office XP and Office 97 (which was installed) and reinstalled
Office XP into a new folder.
- Installed all MS Office updates from the web.
- Manually deleted the \userprofile\local settings\app
data\microsoft\forms\frmcache.dat file. You can see where it recreates the
file but the same problem exists.
- Entered registry key to force a reload of the form after I installed all
office updates (MS-KB 305403). A bar goes across the screen when you open any
outlook calendar window but then the app crashes.
I'm really lost on this one I've tried what I know to do and a few extras
from Microsoft KB articles. Any help would be appreciated. Obviously it's a
local machine issue since she can accept meetings through OWA.
