Outlook Calendar - no audio with reminder

Mary

I set my appointments but the reminder does not ding or
make any noise. If I stop and look into Outlook, pull it
up and check my appointment near the time, I see it. But
why doesn't it make a sound a the set time?

How do I fix this?

My audio is set just fine for other things, volume about
in the middle; but have heard nothing with Calendar
reminders.

Appreciate your help. I was used to this at my office
but don't know why my computer at home is "silent" during
appointment times.

First, do you have Office Sounds installed? Try uninstalling and then
re=installing them.

Second, the reminders will only fire from the default calendar. If you have
created calendars, reminders do not fire. There is an add-in written by
Outlook MVP Ken Slovak, Extended Reminders, that will allow you to designate
additional folders in the same .pst for reminders.
