Outlook calendar not accepting information

S

Stratman69

I am suddenly unable to add appointments or information to my Outlook
calendar. I click new appointment and enter info and save it but the
calendar date remains empty. Also reminders are continually popping up for
items that I haven't set reminders for.

Try resetting the view. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/resetview.htm

To remove reminders, start outlook with the /cleanreminders switch. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/switches.htm if you need help using
switches.

Hi Diane

I tried that using cleanreminders and cleanviews but still have the same
problem. Is it possible to completely uninstall outlook and reinstall it. I
did try add and remove programms and removed Office entirely but after
reinstallation outlook looked the same as before.

Set your view to the All Appointments view and make sure nothing is being
obscured.

uninstall rarely fixes anything detect and repair (office diagnostics in
2007) won't fix.

Try deleting the forms cache -
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/formscache.htm - if that fails reboot
and use the cleanviews switch when you start outlook the first time after
rebooting.

Hi Diane

I am running Office 2000 on XP so when I go to Tools>options>other>advanced
options> I do not have an option for Custom Forms so I can't click it. I
assume this is different in Office 2007.

I then tried deleting the forms cache and rebooting but that didn't solve it
either. Then I tried rebooting and before going back into Outlook going to
the command line and typing Outlook /cleanviews. Also didn't work! Thanks
for your perseverance on this as it is driving me spare.

I have now installed Office 2003 after first removing Office 2000 and I still
have the same problem. If I add a contact it automatically creates a
reminder so I know have reminders popping up all the time as well as not
being able to add any data in to the calendar. This is really getting
frustrating and you all seem to have abandoned my problem. PPPLEEEAAASSEEE
HELP me solve this. How can I just start with a clean sheet. Why does an
upgrade to Office 2003 use all the same data?
