Outlook Calendar probs

Hi all,
Using XP, when I enter an appointment into the calendar it
randomly selects a series of dates and times and places
this is a list above the days schedule.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this so that i can just
enter appointments into a time slot on any specific day?
