A bunch of drawbacks that get fixed in Outlook calendering
- Sending meeting invites to added attendees only and still publishing the
entire meeting list to all. Meeting maker was smart about not asking everyone
for meeting responses if attendees were added/deleted and the meeting list
always had the full list of attendees.
- Outlook shouldn't allow meeting invitees to move around meetings that they
didn't propose. There have been quite a few folks who have either lost
meeting invitations or shown up at the wrong time.
- What is the purpose of allowing someone to cancel a meeting and not inform
everyone ? Informing everyone should be the standard/default behavior. If
there is a need for cancelling a meeting and not informing the the rest of
the folks, it should be a separate option.
- Another useful feature is to have the meeting organizer nominate someone
else to be the new organizer of a recurring meeting. This is useful when you
want to handover some of your responsibilities to someone else and you can
easily switch over recurring meetings to your successor.
