Outlook calender events stated comming as text?

For many many months my wife has been able to send me outlook calendar
events and then recently they started showing up as TEXT messages. She
can't remember changing anything, nor can I.

She is running outlook 2002 and I am running 2003.

The messages show up with lots of VTEXT stuff.. the following is the
content of one...
