I have used Outlook 2000 for some time. A recent glitch with my PC following
installation of Broadband and Yahoo tailored browser resulted in
uninstalling Yahoo intrusive software and reverting to vanilla IE6 and
Outlook. To achieve this I had to rollback (win XP Pro) to earlier date.
Now I have OE working and sending /receiving all email accounts (send via
ISP server mail.btinternet.com and receive via different email accounts
servers e.g. mail.mydomain.com etc).there are 5 email accounts serviced on
different domains.
When I try to send/collect email via Outlook 2000 it gives error on each
account (even primary ISP broadband account) that the servers could not be
found. Yet OE manages perfectly well.
I tried deleting all accounts from Outlook and importing email account
settings from OE but still get error messages.
Please help! I don't know where else to look. Could it be the settings for
the Broadband/dial up?
