Outlook cannot save the URL to a file. Can't find this file. Make sure the path

I upgraded to SP-3 and now have this problem. Anybody
know a fix for this?

The fix is listed in the KB you referenced - call MS to get a copy of the
QFE.

Why can't the QFE/Patch/reg key/exe/ or whatever the secret 'fix' for this problem be posted on the website?

Because it hasn't been fully tested to insure it doesn't cause additional
problems - by calling in for it, they are better able to know if it causes
problems.
