outlook can't download mails but outlook express can

Hello,
I try to download mail with outlook but there is an error message which
says that it's impossible to connect to my provider. (I haven't a
firewall)
All woks fine with Outlook Express.
Outlook is from office 2003
In the Set Program Access and Defaults, Outlook isn't in the list.
I use XP home edition on a laptop, and office and XP are full updated.
Anyone has an idea of what could be the problem ?

No Firewall? thats a mistake
Have you tried, via control panel mail applet, accounts, test?
any/what errors?
