Outlook Categories and Companies Fields Not Normalized Yet Should.

Outlook v2003 Default Task, Journal, Contact, and Appointment Items (and
v2000-v2002 Editions of Outlook) contain Text Boxes (Fields) such as
Companies, Categories, Contact(s), and Billing Information which violate
Database Design methodology. Why in the hell would you not give people the
ability to enter a Company record, and then include a Company Foreign Key
Field for each Contact where they could Select from Drop Down or Combo Box
Company already entered once? Then, they could tie all of the Contacts to a
specific Company. And if you really want to get insane, allow the Company to
have Divisions and Offices which are also Normalized Tables? Why is the
Database so poorly designed and not Normalized? Also, the Custom Fields are
not Normalized as well as they could be. Do you really expect the average
user to know Companies should be separated by Commas if multiple Companies
are entered for a Task, but what if the Spelling is different by one space or
letter? Same for Categories! For example, in one Task I put AT&T, while in
another Task Companies Field I enter AT & T? This has driven me crazy the
whole time I have been using Outlook. Why would you ever have people enter a
Company name twice? Please fix the Non-Normalized aspects of Outlook and
also add Company Divisions, Offices, Employees, etc using Standard XML Schema
for all the different Entities which one might want to track in Outlook.
