Outlook caused problems, prefer Outlook Express

I long ago uninstalled Outlook, which is a part of my Office 2000 program. I
know use Outlook Express 6. Outlook just did not funtion right, lost all my
e-mails, inbox, sent and drafts. My overpaid technician at the time was
unable to repair. My O/S is Windows XP Professional [ full install, not
upgrade, bought O.E.M. ] Word works fine, Powerpoint is sometimes used,
Excel is never used.

Rob

Sounds like your mail profile hasn't been configured correctly or got
corrupted. Everything is stored in a pst-file so if you still have that you
can connect to it by File-> Open-> Personal Data File...

Hi Roady,

Messages were saved in an Excel spreadsheet at the time, recently deleted
all because it dated back to around 2002. It was a pain at the time, but
important messages such as proof of purchase, etc. were saved to Word or
notepad. I've been using OE 6 for a long time and am OK with the way it
works.

Thank you for your reply.

Regards,

Rob
