outlook causes recent file list to vanish

Hi All,

I think I figured out why my recent file list vanishes. It happens after I
use outlook 97. I am using word 97 and windows 98 se. Is there anyway to
stop this from happening? any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

If you are using Word as your email editor option, it is one of the hundreds
of bugs it has. Although MS gradually improved this option with successive
versions, they haven't debugged it to an acceptable level until Office 2003.
I recommend not using Word as your email editor.

Hi Terry,

I took your advice and switched editors. The problem went away. Thank you
for all that you do for us.

Glad the hear that. It's a pity that it is so buggy because being able to
use some of Word's features for email (AutoText and AutoCorrect, for
instance) is very useful. I've not experienced any serious problems in
Off2003 though.
