Outlook Changes My Resolution

Bet you can't fix this.

When I open Outlook the resolution changes to 480x680 from 1024x728

when I exit it returns to normal resolution:

What I have tried so far:

Made sure under compatibility mode 480x680 was not selected
Outlook repair - complete.
Uninstall/re-install
rebuild outlook profile
remove registry entries

What I can do: open outlook normally on a different user account without the
resolution changes to my screen.

I do not want to re-build a new profile for this end user. This problem is
driving me nuts...

Ok, first, I want some clarification on a couple things:
rebuild outlook profile

What does this mean? You created an entirely *new* profile? Or you simply
removed everything from the first profile and re-added it?
remove registry entries

What registry entries?

Ok, in addition:
Application and System log in Event viewer, anything showing up when you
start Outlook?
What is the OS?
What version of Outlook?
What kind of video card?
When Outlook is running and the screen size is changed, what resolution is
listed in Control Panel - Display?

I re-pointed the .pst to a new blank one, removed the account. and removed
registry items below

right away)

Oops, got my number backwards when reporting: 640x480

Ok, while I think that's an answer, it isn't entirely clear to me.

Create a *new* profile. Not a windows profile. Just Outlook. Completely
new, don't even copy the old profile. Only add a single messaging service
and the PST. I'm assuming this is not an Exchange environment? If it is an
Exchange environment, don't even add the PST.

Make sure outlook prompts for the profile to use and use this new profile.

Did you do a Detect and Repair after this?

Ok, if a completely new profile does not work, what happens if you go to
Start - Run - outlook /safe

Does it work then, in Safe mode?

And what happens if you change it back to 1024x780 while Outlook is running?

I'm replying to several people who've listed this problem because when I
listed it, nobody had the solution. I had this same problem on one of my
machines - it was driving me nuts. I stumbled upon a solution (at least for
my machine). Go to your desktop, right click on your Outlook Icon, Choose
Properties, then go to the Compatibility Tab - make sure there aren't any
screen resolution settings checked. That fixed it for me. I have NO idea how
they got checked to start with, but I hope this solves your problem.
