I have about 30 users that are remote users. They Citrix into my
network. The previously had e-mail on my network, but now they have
their own servers and e-mail accounts on their own network. We have
removed their access to receive e-mail on our network, however their
POP3 accounts still exist. They just don't have any inbound
abilities.
These users need to send files from their shared folders on my network
to their own network. We have Citrix file sharing turned off globally
for various reasons, so they can't use that. So they've been using
Outlook to send the files as attachments to themself.
The problem is that if they don't leave Outlook running, then the file
is just stuck in the Outbox. Plus I have to keep their POP3 accounts
around or Outlook will prompt them for a valid userid/password. I
apparently can't set them up without having some sort of POP3/IMAP
also.
These are basic data entry type folks.
Other than turning Citrix file sharing on, any other decent, easy to
use, and secure solution to this problem?
