Outlook Client Ports

Hi,

I am currently using Outlook XP, with a WinXP firewall. My problem is
that even though I can use Outlook, I cannot receive any of the
notifications as they are sent over UDP, to a port which seems to
change each time Outlook starts. Is it possible to force the Outlook
client to use a specific port to receive these UDP notifications? (I
have seen similar articles on microsoft.com refering to older versions
of outlook, but they reference registry keys which I do not have.)
