outlook closes evertime i try to select a contact or send mail?

everytime I try to type a contact direct into an email outlook close and
restarts. If i select contacts from my contact list it is ok. But then when i
send mail, by clicking send from the mail from it again closes and restarts.
I have run a full virus scan using e-trust and have check the office 2003 web
site for upgrade/update and have all been installed.
It is Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 part of Microsoft office suite.
I have also tried a detect and repair and a reinstall. As well as removed
the program and install again a fresh.
As any one any ideas as this is driving me crazy

If scanpst.exe doesn't work, then try a new mail profile.

account will be deleted without reading.
