Hi,
Integrating Outlook 2003 with an application that creates a custom
CommandBar and buttons fails to remove the CommandBar when the mailitem
closes WHEN Outlook is set to use Word as the editor. (BTW, adding an
msControlLabel fails with Word but not with Outlook VBA).
I see that the Word ignoring the Temporary Parementer has been around since
WE97 (I see KB articles on 97,98,2000).
This might be acceptable with Word as a standalone product, however,
integrated into Outlook 2003 should require consistent behavior. The notion
that we have to code for all Word exceptions with Outlook is a bug from my
POV.
What is the status of this problem? Is there a fix in works? If not, is
there documentation on all off the exceptions we need to consider when
automating Outlook?
Thanks.
