Outlook Compatability

I have Outlook 2000 SR-1 9.0.0.3821 on my office
computer. My computer at home has Microsoft XP but the
version of Office I got with it has only Word and a form
of Outlook which has capability. I want to be able to
take my caladar, contacts, and outlook personal folders
into my home machine so I can work there and have backup
and compatability between both machines. What version of
MS Office should I install at home and can I intall it
directly from New Disc I will buy without loosing the work
I have already done at home.

It sounds like you have Microsoft Works, not Office at home. You can
install any version of Outlook currently on the market. If you purchase
now, you will also qualify for a free upgrade (shipping and handling) to
Office 2003 when it is available in October. The version of Outlook in
Office 2003, if you use the new format for the .pst file, is not compatible
with the previous versions of Outlook.
