Outlook Connector fails to install

I have tried to install Outlook Connector 12.1 to use for my hotmail e-mail
but the setup fails saying that I don't have Office Outlook 2003 or 2007
installed. Here is a picture:

I have a valid and genuine copy of Office 2007 installed, so I don't see why
it would say this. Any help would be appreciated.

Outlook needs to be set up properly with all your accounts to be recognized
by the installer. You should set up your POP email accounts first. If you are
using only Hotmail, Outlook is overkill. Use your browser and Windows Live
online instead.

Actually no I'm also using it for my gmail and yahoo accounts. My gmail is
POP so it should recognize it.

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried numerous versions of the
connector, uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Office 2007 suite... Any
help or ideas would be wonderful.

Vista Home Premium x64.
