Outlook Connector has encountered an error

Using Outlook 2007 Pro, Outlook Connector to access Live Hotmail account.
Things worked fine until last night when my pc hung and I had to power it
off. Now it prompts me for my Hotmail password, then gives me "Sign-in
failed. Outlook Connector has encountered an error. Please restart Outlook.
If the issue continues.... If this does not fix the issue, contact Support."
I have tried repairing OC to no avail. I removed it and reinstalled to no
avail. Any suggestions? Next step is to toss my Hotmail account and get one
somewhere else.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. I am also unable to log into my LIVE mail
account using the web browser and all I get is a Service Unavailable message.
I am also having a login problem with LIVE Messenger.

I think this may be a general LIVE Messenger/Mail problem, but when looking
at the Messenger Service Status it states everything is working normally.

May have to wait and see if it gets fixed.

Thanks for the link. After spending the morning repairing and reinstalling
software, 1/2 hour on the phone with Microsoft, and creating this post, I
tried finally was able to connect to Hotmail. Unfortunately, I got your link
just after I found that things were working again. And it's too late for
Microsoft as well. I've had enough of their mail server problems. I just set
up an account elsewhere, and Outlook has no troubles getting to it.
