outlook connector has stoped collecting my hotnail e-mails, why?

K

Karlo

I used outlook connector to collect my Hotmail e-mails, this has stopped
working, i have tried reinstalling the accounts, any suggestions?

Same problem here. To add insult the 'free' support site wants my product
id. The Priduct ID for Outlook Connector is in the format
12340000-012A-0123-0000-0000000ff1ce which is not the correct format for the
site. I did try the Outlook Product ID which is in the required format
(12345-XXX-7654321-98765) but was told that this was not for the correct
product.

Any suggestions welcome.

what does the send/receive progress dialog have for the error?

FWIW, it seems as if there is a problem with the microsoft public mail and
news servers - the problem may disappear in 24 -48 hours.

time but now it all works fine again.

Yes started automatically (like the Send/Recieve) once I restarted Outlook
after installation of the Connector.

Hi Roger,

I can confirm that downloading and installing Outlook Connector 1.2 beta
took care of this problem for me as well, except, it did not synchronize all
the messages currently in my mailbox.

It synchronized messages only up to July 1st but this may be related to what
Diane Poremsky mentioned in an earlier post about the problem with the
microsoft public mail and news servers that may disappear in 24 -48 hours - I
hope this is the case.

Thanks for the info!

Ha! Never mind about my previous post on the synchronization only up to July

see now it's sychronized.

My Outlook synch with Hotmail also stopped working as of 7/29 around 1 a.m.,
I noticed in my updates that a 'Windows Search' update was ran about that
time, the only changes made to the system that day. I tried uninstalling the
patch, removing my profile and creating another, as another post suggested
and no resolution. I then updated to Off 07 SP1 + Windows Search still
nothing. I am tempted to go to the new Beta Connector but seems like a number
of folks have issues with that.

I had the same issue. Very Very Frustrating.

I did what Roger had said below i.e uninstalled OC and installedbeta version
instead. The beta version worked. Whew!

Thanks Vidur, after attempting to troubleshoot for several hours I submitted
to installing the beta version and it did work...just hope I didn't break
anything else with it:).

Bobaloo

I felt a lot better yesterday when I realised that I DID NOT mess up my outlook and outlook connector. After the last few days where I spent hours installing and uninstalling office, outlook, windows live etc, it appears to have been a MS issue.

Whew! I installed the beta link that was suggested and everything worked beautifully. I was very happy....that was yesterday.

Today my outlook keeps sending me the same e-mails over and over again. I can delete them from outlook, but even the deleted emails keep being sent...I have to go to the internet account and delete them from there...It should be done automatically from outlook. Or did I miss something important?

Not only that, but all the e-mails that were received in the past...yesterday and later...have all disappeared. In fact, I watched them disappear as soon as today's arrived.

Did I miss something? Is anyone else having the same problem?

B

B. Domings

Me too, with the bogus Product Id number. And, the MS Window Live, etc,
people keep sending me to Oulook Connector Help to fix this ongoing problems.
Do you think they know that we can't get in?? Is this just a cruel joke>??

B

B. Domings

This has been a problem for a few weeks now. (see some of the other threads
re to Connector). It seemed to start after a patch was sent out in late July.
I've had this happen off and on since mid August. Some threads suggest that
I odwnload the Beta version of Outlook.. (see Roger 7/26) It did seem to
work for a while, but I've still got problems. ((Outlok Connector 12.1 Beta
hotmail.)) See Roger 7/26 again

MSN doesn't seem to have a fix. And then when I downloaded Office SP3, the
whole thing crashed (Aplication Error). I had to do a system restore to get
my outlook back.

I also had the same problem as another thread - on the Outlook Connector
help screen --the Product ID that I have listed is "not valid" "not
Recognized" by the Help support site .

What is up with all of this??!! I can't get help because the help 'key' is
invalid??
