I have installed the Outlook Connector on both my laptop and desktop. The
laptop works just fine with three MSN email accounts. The desktop, however,
is not working at all. It shows the "COM Add-in for Microsoft Outlook
Connector" as inactive and when I go to "Manage COM Add-ins", the connector
is not checked and it says there was a runtime error loading it. I tried to
check it, but as soon as I return to that location the check mark has
disappeared. The Outlook menu does not show the additional Outlook Connector
menu that is on the laptop. Both machines are running XP (SP3) and Office
2007 (SP2) and both are up to date with all updates. I have compared all
other settings and configurations between the two machines and that is the
only difference I can find. I have tried rebooting, reinstalling and every
other trick that the forums suggest, but all to no avail.
I have searched many forums and this is not a unique problem but I have yet
to find a solution. I sent a bunch of screenshots to the MSN Premium support
center, but they immediately redirected me to the Outlook Support Center. Any
help resolving this would be appreciated.
