outlook connector to pick hotmail on two computers

Have set up Outlook connector on a desktop -fine. Then set up on a laptop to
download from the same hotmail account -nothing drops in. Emails can be read
on live mail but I like dropping them into both computers (work and home).
Can I?

it works (I'm doing it on multiple computers and set one account up today).
It will take a good 10 min, possibly longer, for mail to download on the
machines.
