I have a Lenovo T61p with Vista Ultimate SP1 and Office 2007 SP1 , with all
applicable updates installed. Outlook is working with Exchange 2003 SP2 with
all updates installed there, too.
The systray icon constantly shows Outlook as synchronizing, even though
Outlook itself says that all folders are up to date. If I hover over the
systray icon, it changes to the correct one.
Outlook is onfigured to connect via HTTP over slow networks. However, the
behaviour is the same whether I am connected via HTTP (at home) or TCP/IP (at
the office).
This behaviour seems to have started since some updates that Windows Update
installed a few days ago, on July 9 2008, including an Outlook one (KB952142)
but also some Vista ones.
There is also a thread about this here:

where the suggestion is made to cross-post this in this tech community.
