This one seems to have stumped the support people at Palm and at Microsoft.
I have a large Contact folder (Outlook 2003 SP2) with over 9,000 contacts.
(Lots of friends
.
Actual Contact folder size, according to properties, is 10.7 MB.
After Active Sync Contacts (no Calendar, Tasks, Email etc.) the "Storage In
Use" in my Palm Trio 700w increases by over 40 MB.
I verified that the "pim.vol" file on the Trio is the culprit. Shouldn't
this file be the same size as the data transferred?
The effect is to eat up all the memory and make the Trio unstable.
Any ideas what could cause the Outlook Contacts file size to quadruple? I
thought it may have something to do with Plaxo being associated with Outlook
but their support people said not.
