Outlook contact information

I enter tel numbers with hyphens (example 1234-5678) However, when i press
save, the hyphens disappear and I am left with tel numbers without hyphens.
(1234-5678 changes to 12345678) This makes it difficult to read.

I have looked through all the menus, options, tools and asked questions in
the index but cannot find an answer.

Look to your Regional Settings under Control Panel - this
determines your formatting for telephone numbers.
