Outlook Contacts Activities Tracking not working

I have a user that uses his Activities tab in contacts to track
correspondence with the folks that he emails. Around April 1, 2005,
his activities stopped tracking. If you view his activities against
sent items, inbox, etc, everything stops around April 1, there are
items in the folders yet they don't appear in activities. One thing I
tried that worked is removing a contact and them adding it back. This
works, but he has literally hundreds of contacts, so manually removing
them and adding them back isn't an option.

Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
