outlook contacts and LDAP

using outlook 2000 we are connecting to an LDAP server for addresses,
however when looking up users using the toolbar search if a user exist
in the contacts folder it never searches the LDAP directory, can you
make it so it searches both, or LDAP first? For example if Bob smith
is in Contacts and Bob Jones is in LDAP and you search for Bob, only
Bob Smith comes up.

Any help would be much appreciated as this is a big annoyance

In Corporate/Workgroup mode, yes, but not in Internet Mail Only mode.
