I'm using Office 2003. I have my contacts set up in Outlook in a .pst file.
I have one profile, "Outlook", pointing to this file. It is also the
recipient of all my e-mail.
When I go into Word and click Tools --> Letters and Mailings --> Envelopes
and Labels, I am prompted with an "Envelopes and Labels" dialog box. The
Delivery address is a textbox at the top, with the option to open the
address book (the book icon). When I click this, I get the names of the
contact folders I have shared in Outlook.
Everything works great.
However, if I put a password on the pst file (Control Panel --> Mail -->
Data Files Button --> Settings Button --> Change Password, and do the same
thing, I get
The address list could not be displayed. the Contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions. . . . .
Now when I open Outlook, it correctly prompts me for the Personal Folders
Password. In Office 97, and Office 2000 it USED TO prompt me for the
password when I clicked the address book from Word. But now it does not.
Is this a bug? I'm fairly saavy with this and I am stumped as to how to fix
it. I've done searches for this error and none seem to be the same as mine.
OS is Windows 2003 Server, and I'm logged in with an administrator account
on the box.
Thanks for any insight.
