outlook contacts issue

Hello,
I have an interesting problem that a user came to me with. She is using
Outlook 2003 and her contacts are empty. However, If I open up the
address book in Outlook there are 2 that I can choose from that have
all of her information. Now, since the Address Book in Outlook is just
basically a view of Contacts, how is it that her contacts list is
empty? How can I point her contacts list at one of these address books?
Pleas help.
Thanx,

She either has more than one contacts folder and one is empty or a corrupted Outlook Address Book. The latter is the more likely. Remove the Outlook Address Book from the mail profile, then restart Outlook and add it back in.

Ok, If I remove the address book from the profile, wont I lose all of
her information? It is currently only showing up as an address book and
contacts is empty. She has a lot of contacts and several groups setup
and I don't want to lose thse.

I did not see any other contacts folders when I looked at the folder
list. Is there some way that I need to be looking at these?

No, because, as you already said, the address book is just a View of the
Contacts folders. You' aren't removing the folders, only the service that
presents them as an address book. When you stop and restart Outlook and
then readd the service, you're resetting the view to show the folders
properly again.
