Outlook contacts/public folders

Lisa

This is a sporadic problem - I have had several users in
my office (all on WIN XP) using Outlook 2003. SOmetimes
when they try to add a contact on the contacts on the MS
Exchange public folder they get the following error:

"The form required to view this message cannot be
displayed. Contact your administrator."

They are able to, however, add contacts in their personal
folders.

Sometimes the problem is resolved only by deleting the MS
profile for the mailbox, then the problem goes away.

THe rights on exchange for the public folders are not
changed during this process - they always have full access
to the public folders.

Any ideas?!?!?
Many thanks,
Lisa

Outlook 2003 has what's known as a "forms cache" problem. Clearing the cache
usually fixes it. Choose Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options | Custom
Forms, then click Manage Forms, then Clear Cache.

You can also contact Microsoft PSS for a hotfix for forms used in folders in
Public Folders\Favorites. See http://www.slipstick.com/dev/index.htm
