In Outlook 2000 the Contact list is empty when pressing the To: button
when creating an email. This use to work. The Contact list is stil
fully populated in the Contact folder. How do I reassociate th
Contacts list with Outlook, to lookup addresses when sending email?
The contact address book is grayed out for selection. I saw anothe
posting, but I'm not sure how to unregister the address book

You need to post your mail support mode when you have questions on Outlook
2000.
Go to Tools > Services. Make sure the Outlook Address Book service is
listed. If not, add it. Next, R click on the Contact folder or folders you
want the OAB to display, choose "Properties", go to the Outlook Address Book
tab and check the "Show this folder as an E-mail address book" box. You may
also need to go to Tools > Options > Addressing Tab and choose to show your
Contacts folder.

That's why I told you to post your mail support mode.
Do so now.
Line 2 of Help | About, if you don't know.
Is that grayed out option checked?
