Outlook Corrupt after 2007 beta install and remove

Installed Office 2007 beta, did not remove Office 2003 now removed 2007 and
Outlook will not start says MAPI 32.DLL is corrupt or wrong version Please
reinstall Outlook. I have Office 2003 Student Teacher edition. Please help.

Off the top of my balding head I'd try deleting MAPI32.DLL and reinstalling
or repairing Office 2003

Cannot find MAPI32.DLL on computer. Using Windows XP. have disk for Office,

That is exactly what happened to me. It started after I let windows install
the latest updates. (related?) I am furious and have lost countless hours of
website work. I have tried renaming mapi32.dll to mapi32.old and clicking on
fixmapi.exe several times. It doesn't work. I can't uninstall Outlook 2003
because I will lose the last week of emails. This sounds like a common
problem so MS had better get on it asap!

Remove Outlook 2003, and then repair Office 2007. Why would you lose
your last week's worth of email?
You simply can't have two versions of Outlook on a computer.
Unfortunately the beta 2 installer has a bug that lets you do it.

I finally got the beta reinstalled and working. I uninstalled the beta and
installation file then downloaded the original beta file again. I installed
it then tried to open Outlook 2007. I got a message saying that Outlook had
not opened successfully and ask if I wanted to run MS diagnostics. I clicked
OK and the next window said it was repairing MS Expression Designer then
Outlook started.
Has anyone had problems with the power on their notebook since the MS
Automatic update? My AC adapter keeps going off and the battery kicks on. I
have to unplug an reconnnect the power at least 15 times before it will stay
on.

I will try to reinstall 2007 Beta.Do I have to remove only outlook 2003?

In my haste to click "send" and share my good fortune with you, I left out
one crutial step. After deleting all elements of Microsoft Office...any
version, "Install XP-Service Pack 1" THEN reinstall Microsoft Office.

I don't know what feels better....not seeing the pesky "MAPI32.dll error
message" or not seeing "Beta 2007"

Why on earth would you install XP SP1? Windows XP is at Service Pack 2
and you really should have that installed on your computer!

I installed XP SP1 because that is what the directions told me to do. I've
suffered with the corrupt MAPI32.dll for months and now it's working. Go
Figure???

Why on earth would you install XP SP1? Windows XP is at Service Pack 2
and you really should have that installed on your computer!
