Outlook Crashes as Soon as it Opens

It opens to the basic screen and then I get the error message "The exception
unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the apploication
0x39a-4acaa".

Have not installed/removed any S/W recently one day it worked, the next day
it did not.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Similar has happened to me, though Outlook opens for 2 seconds, minimizes
automatically to the system tray (no input from me). When I try to click it
