Outlook crashes everytime when clicking on Contacts

I am experiencing the exact same problem.
I've got a user here who has Outlook XP SP2.
When he clicks on the contacts in his mail box he gets
MS Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience

I'm then prompted to send an error report, which I did, then an error
signature comes up with

App name Outlook.exe App ver 10.0.4024.0 ModName Outlib.dll
Modver10.0.4219.0 Offset 0003a64f

the user has delegated his contacts to his secretary, and she was able
to view them.

If anybody could offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated.
