Outlook Crashes Everytime while Opening

Outlook start crashing upon every attempt to open it. It will open in safe
mode, but will crash every time it is started outside of safe mode. No other
Office programs are affected. I have tried uninstalling just Outlook and the
entire suite (2k3 Pro) and all updates have been done...

I get the following message in my event view:

Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8010.0, stamp 43d16d53,
faulting module mso.dll, version 11.0.6568.0, stamp 42e18ef6, debug? 0, fault

Yes, all that's I'm aware of...I use Symantec Corporate Antivirus and tried
disabling that plugin as well.

As far as I'm aware this err might indicate a plugin/com problem, but you
say youve disabled all.
You might I guess try deleting/renaming the outcmd.dat file, it will be
recreated by OL.
Perhaps try a post to an outlook specific ng

DL and Jason, I had the same problem and your recommendation appears to have
solved my issue as well. Crashed just about everytime I started and clicked
my inboxes. Running Norton protections also. Used the search function to find
the .dat files and deleted them.
Thanks again.

I had a similar problem where Outlook 2003 SP3 kept crashing at start
up. I fixed it by renaming the file:

C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat

to

C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat.old

where %user% is the user name.

After that Outlook was able to start just fine. Not sure what caused
the problem though.

Regards.

Ive Found a cure for this problem!!

I found that by following a COMBINATION of :

1. removing the outcmd.dat as explained in this thread.
2. removing my kaspersky spam checking add-ons from outlook options
3. removing xobni software from outlook and my pc.

By doing this, i found that the problem id had with outlook 200
crashing upon startup has been resolved.

Good luck with yours - hope this works for you.
